Currencies Futures are standardized contracts to exchange one currency for another at a specified date in the future at a price that is fixed on the purchase date. The contracts clearly state different specification including the currency, quantity and trading month for convenience. Investors can close out the position before the contract expires to avoid cash settlement and physical delivery.
Currencies futures are quoted in non-American terms, in which the US dollar is quoted in terms of units of foreign currency per US dollar.
